Henry Bailey Bespoke Tailors provide the Savile Row quality bespoke suits for bespoke tailoring companies and individual customers.
What inspired you to launch your own website?
For two centuries, Savile Row in London's West End has been leading the world in bespoke tailoring. Tailoring companies are now threatened by a lack of young apprentices entering the profession, as most highly skilled tailors are over the age of 60. Rising rents and business rates, along with the changing nature of the “Row”, have proved costly to the tailoring trade.
In order to prevent the British handcraft tailoring skills dying out, Savile Row Quality Bespoke Tailoring Workshop was set up in Ningbo, China. The principle of this project is to update and refine the Chinese handcraft tailoring skills that were already in place to meet current Savile Row standards. To achieve this, the Workshop has engaged Dennis Cooper and his team of well-respected Savile Row Master Tailors as its official training consultants to our workshop.
When did you launch your first website, and what was it?
Our visiting bespoke tailor is Andrew Chan. He started work for a leading Savile Row bespoke tailoring company in the year 2000, bringing added knowledge of field sports wear. Prior to working on Savile Row, he received a Diploma in Tailoring at the London College of Fashion where he was awarded the Silver Shears Award for excellence in Handcraft Tailoring Skills. He has also completed a BA Honour's degree in Fashion Design and Merchandising from American College in London.
Our master tailors are members of the Merchant Taylors’ Company and have been working in Savile Row for well over 35 years. We only employ experienced coat makers and trouser makers who are highly skilled in their trade. Quality and workmanship is monitored on a regular basis by our team of well respected Savile Row tailors.
Our aim is to give all our customers a Savile Row experience of personal care and attention, offering the best in handcraft tailoring. We do not offer a ‘made to measure’ service nor produce ‘ready to wear’ garments. We are internet based, therefore our garments are very affordable and reasonable in cost. Our tailors are available to arrange meetings by appointment only. We welcome the opportunity to meet with you in Savile Row or, if you prefer, outside office hours at your convenience in the comfort of your home.

A Henry Bailey bespoke garment is crafted to the same high standard that will rival any Savile Row garment made ‘in house'. Henry Bailey offers Savile Row quality bespoke suits, blazers, field sports and formal wear for all special occasions including customised uniforms. We use good quality trimmings and offer a wide selection of cloth from the finest English and Scottish mills. Patterns and cloth are individually cut then trimmed in Savile Row, before being sent to our workshop in Ningbo, China. We provide numerous fittings to your satisfaction before a garment is completed. Our suits can be let out or taken in should you alter in weight, making it a sound investment for the foreseeable future.
